Claymore is a weapon in Dark Souls 2. A very large greatsword. Very heavy, and designed for use with both hands. Allows for broad attacks that are effective against multiple foes. I just finished the game as a dex/faith build, I rarely used miracles (i had darkmoon blade, WotG and lightning spear.) I didn't really enjoy it and the playthrough seemed harder that it should have been. I have decided to make a new character to play through the game to NG++ and possibly further. I dont do much pvp so I want mainly a pve build.
And this build isn't too different than the other Build (Vit/End) i earlier mentioned, as this one still has 46 Vitality and 40 Endurance, which is alot for a Mage-type Character. A +15 Claymore with Crystal Magic Weapon will outdamage an Enchanted +5 Claymore, but i prefer the latter, because i don't want to have to cast CMW every minute to ... In Dark Souls 2 you can consider infusions and the +N upgrades as two separate properties of the weapon. For example, if you have a +10 Claymore and infuse it with lightning, you'll have a +10 Lightning Claymore. Further, you can "uninfuse" it and it'll go back to just a +10 Claymore. There's no upgrading of the infusions themselves.
